Conservation and Community
Wilderness Safaris is deeply committed to conservation in everything they do. In both the Linkwasha and Makololo concessions, Wilderness operates anti-poaching and de-snaring patrols as well as maintaining 14 wells from which to provide year round water for the abundant wildlife. A full-time ecologist is responsible for conservation in the concessions.

At the same time, Wilderness understands the importance of preserving and contributing to the wellbeing of its local communities. An integral part of our week at Linkwasha is a visit to the nearby Ngamo village and primary school to meet the people and the children, and to learn about their culture and traditions.
